Last Monday Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, confidently said that Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma had a million ticket reservations. The event was held in the Bank of America center, which seats 19,000 people. They had set up a second outdoor location to hold overflow. However, a mere 6,200 people showed up, causing them to cancel the second location. Who do we have to thank? TikTok and K-pop stans. We could all use some escapism right now…especially to keep our hearts and minds encouraged as we stand up for equality and democracy while fighting a pandemic…which is why Geek Girl Riot’s Heroic Trio are chilling this week and talking about whatever they feel like. And, um, things get weird.
On June 8, 2020 Jonathan Stiffler, husband to Caitlin Stiffler, took to Twitter to post his account of how he had helped a group of women, who had allegedly been sexually assaulted by Austin Carlile formerly of Attack Attack and Of Mice And Men, come forward to tell their experiences to Alternative Press magazine.
We are all looking for ways to support the Black Lives Matter movement (find a list of resources here) and that includes artists and creatives.
