mgk just dropped a new music video for his track “vampire diaries” from his upcoming album lost americana, due out on August 8. Excitingly, he shot the accompanying music video at New York City’s American Museum Of Natural History, aka the setting of Night At The Museum (2006). Iconic. And yes, if you’re wondering, the artist is still on his choreographed dance grind. ICYMI, mgk shared a dazzling performance of “Last Christmas” by Wham! on NBC’s A Motown Christmas special. The holiday special took place on December 11, but is now available to stream on Peacock. With hosts Smokey Robinson and Halle Bailey, the event celebrated the legacy of Motown with Ashanti, Pentatonix, Jordin Sparks, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, and beyond. Following the release of summer’s “Sunshine,” which was co-written with MGK, MOD SUN is back with his new song, “Hotel Lights.” Prior to its release, MOD SUN took to Instagram to share, “Been trying to make a song like this my whole career. Sonically, it’s beautiful. Lyrically, it’s storytelling. Vocally, it’s powerful + delicate. Love is like a drvg…I’m falling for you + it’s a long way down.” Interestingly, many people connected with the song upon its release.
