January 3 — Paleface Swiss — Cursed

Switzerland metalcore outfit Paleface Swiss is wasting no time kicking off 2025 with a bang! Arriving on January 3, the group’s new album Cursed will arrive following the release of two singles, “My Blood On Your Hands,” “Hatred,” and “Love Burns.” You can pre-order your album here. —Paige Owens

January 8 — Ethel Cain — Perverts 

Ethel Cain is hitting the ground running in 2025 as she is releasing her second studio album, Perverts, on January 8. Preceded by the highly-acclaimed Preacher’s Daughter, which features “American Teenager,” the new album promises even more moody and gothic indie-rock that shot the artist to stardom. Our first taste of the LP arrived with the release of “Punish,” which can be best described as an ethereal, atmospheric grunge. We are elated to see what haunting melodies Ethel Cain has in store for Perverts. —Maria Serra

January 10 — Lambrini Girls — Who Let The Dogs Out

Mark our words: 2025 is the year of Lambrini Girls. The Brighton-based gritty punk act is gearing up for their debut album to drop on January 10 via City Slang. Featuring punchy singles “Love,” “Big Dick Energy,” and “Company Culture,” Who Let The Dogs Out is sure to set up this rocking trio and their biting lyrics up for myriad successes. January 10 — Stick To Your Guns — Keep Planting Flowers

Stick To Your Guns will release their 8th studio album and Sharptone Records debut Keep Planting Flowers on January 10. With 2024 singles “Severed,” “Invisible Rain,” “Permanent Dark,” and “More Than A Witness” ripping in a huge way, listeners will also have guest spots from Scott Vogel (Terror) and Connie Sgarbossa (SeeYouSpaceCowboy) to look forward to upon album release. —Patrick Walford

January 17 — Diva Bleach — Can You Keep A Secret?

Diva Bleach will release their debut album, Can You Keep A Secret?, on January 17. The album has been previewed with “I Like U,” “We Don’t Talk About It,” “Hate Me,” “Torn In Two,” “Kiss Her Goodbye,” and “Out Of My Head.” Preorder the album here. —Paige Owens

January 31 — TheCityIsOurs — Will You Still Love Me?

One of the most underrated bands in today’s metalcore landscape, England’s TheCityIsOurs will drop their third album, Will You Still Love Me?, on January 31 via Arising Empire. Singles like “Hot Mess,” “In The Dark,” and “Can You Feel It?” in the lead-up to release once again showcase their ability to write some of the catchiest choruses in alternative music while also unabashedly bringing the heavy. —Patrick Walford

January 31 — Grayscale — The Hart

Grayscale will unleash their first independently released fourth studio album, The Hart, on January 31. The 12-track album has been previewed by a number of singles, including “Don’t Leave Me In The Dark,” “Kept Me Alive,” “Not Afraid To Die,” “Mum II,” “Let Go,” and “Summer Clothes.” You can preorder the album here. —Paige Owens

January 30 — Sweet Pill — Unraveled

To wrap up the current era of Sweet Pill, the band reveals they will release their Unraveled EP on January 30. The release will consist of stripped-back versions of their tracks from the Where The Heart Is LP and Starchild EP, and has been previewed with the release of “Cut.” —Paige Owens

January 31 — L.S. Dunes — Violet

L.S. Dunes will release their sophomore effort, Violet, on January 31. The group will be on the road overseas at the time of the release, and the 10-track will feature the previously released singles “Paper Tigers,” “Machines,” and “Fatal Deluxe.” You can preorder the Will Yip-produced record here. —Paige Owens

February 7 — Inhaler — Open Wide  

Dublin’s premier indie-rockers, Inhaler, are set to take over the world in 2025–literally. Aside from announcing their forthcoming LP Open Wide, due out on February 7 via Polydor Records, the group is prepping for a massive international tour. The band has already shared a look inside their most unique effort to date with the release of their title track and “Your House.” Needless to say, we need Open Wide and its euphoric melodies ASAP. February 7 — Jinjer — Duél

Their first album in nearly four years, the Ukrainian quartet Jinjer, will release their fifth album, Duél, on February 7. Directing all the negativity from their country’s war with Russia (which is still ongoing) and the music quite literally being written while actively being shelled & bombed in the Siege of Kyiv, this will be Jinjer’s most aggressive, brutally honest album to date. —Patrick Walford

February 14 — Lacuna Coil — Sleepless Empire

Prepare to have a metal Valentine’s Day with the arrival of Sleepless Empire from Lacuna Coil—the band’s tenth studio album. The forthcoming LP, out on February 14 via Century Media Records, boasts 11 riff-laden tracks, including their singles “In The Mean TIme” featuring Ash Costello of New Years Day and “Hosting The Shadow” featuring Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God. February 14 — Amber Pacific — All In

Marking their first new music in three years, Amber Pacific will issue their new album, All In, on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Two singles from the album have been released: “Young And Reckless” and “Sink Or Swim.” —Paige Owens

February 14 — Winona Fighter — MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF

Winona Fighter will release their debut full-length record, My Apologies To The Chef, on February 14. The 14-track album will arrive via Rise Records and can be pre-ordered here. The Coco Kinnon-led trio has released several tracks leading up to the release, including “ATTENTION,” “Swear To God That I’m (FINE),” “I’m In The Market To Please No One,” “Subaru,” and “HAMMS IN A GLASS.” —Paige Owens

February 21 — Killswitch Engage — This Consequence

A pillar of metalcore for 20+ years, Killswitch Engage will drop their ninth studio album, which has been the first since 2019, This Consequence, this February. If the lead single “Forever Aligned” is any indication, these scene legends haven’t missed a step and are set to bring fans another headbanging, face-melter of an album. —Patrick Walford

February 21 — Silverstein — Antibloom

Silverstein will release not one but two full-length albums in 2025! The double album, Antibloom / Pink Moon, will arrive in two parts, with Antibloom dropping on February 21 via UNFD. February 21 — One Ok Rock — Detox

ONE OK ROCK is slated to drop their eleventh studio album, DETOX, on February 21. The group has shared three new singles ahead of the release, including “+Matter,” “Dystopia,” and “Delusion:All.” You can pre-add and pre-save the upcoming record here. —Paige Owens

February 21 — Anxious — bambi 

Anxious will unleash their sophomore album, Bambi, on February 21 via Run For Cover Records. The group has shared the shimmering “Head & Spine” as well as the album’s lead single, “Counting Sheep,” building anticipation for the 11-track collection. Preorder Bambi here. —Paige Owens

February 28 — Architects — The Sky, The Earth & All Between

UK stalwarts Architects will release their eagerly awaited full-length The Sky, The Earth & All Between on February 28, 2025, via Epitaph Records. The 12-track album will include previously released singles “Curse,” “Seeing Red,” and their latest release, “Whiplash.” The album will feature collaborations with House Of Protection and Amira Elfeky. March 7 — Spiritbox — Tsunami Sea

Previewed with the releases of “Soft Spine” and “Perfect Soul,” GRAMMY-nominated Spiritbox will issue their sophomore album, Tsunami Sea. The 11-track collection is slated to arrive on March 7, 2025, via Pale Chord in partnership with Rise Records. The Courtney LaPlante-fronted group will hit the road in 2025 to support the record. March 14  — Coheed and Cambria — Vaxis – Act III: The Father of Make Believe

Coheed And Cambria will release their highly anticipated eleventh studio album, The Father of Make Believe. The 14-track opus is slated to drop on March 14, 2025, via Virgin Music Group. The Father Of Make Believe will feature the band’s previously issued singles “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow.” Fans can preorder the album and limited edition box set here. —Paige Owens

March 28 — Arch Enemy — Blood Dynasty

Arch Enemy will release their tenth studio album, Blood Dynasty, on March 28. With a trio of awesome singles in the last half of 2024, “Dream Stealer,” “Blood Dynasty,” and “Liars & Thieves,” Alissa & the boys are bringing the boom! —Patrick Walford

March 28 — Memphis May Fire — Shapeshifter

Building up excitement and hype for the eventual announcement of their new album in November, Memphis May Fire set the tone and bar high with five tracks throughout 2024 that brought back vibes of The Challenger days while never feeling dated, but instead fresh and new. Matty Mullins is currently on another planet of songwriting and performance, and MMF is poised to release their best album yet. —Patrick Walford

April 4 — Bleed From Within — Zenith

The Scottish shredders Bleed From Within are set to drop their fifth studio album this spring and, thus far, have remained on a consistent path leading up to the release with nothing but mega metalcore bangers. The lead single, “In Place Of Your Halo,” sets the tone in a big way with bagpipes over breakdowns, one of many tricks up their sleeves. Couple this with a support slot on the Poisoned Ascendency Tour with Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine in North America around record release. It’s the perfect storm for a huge 2025. —Patrick Walford

TBD Spring — Superheaven — Superheaven

In 2024, Superheaven released their first new music in nine years: “Long Gone” and “Numb To What Is Real.” With the release of their second new single, the group announced on social media, “Self-titled LP coming spring 2025 on Blue Grape Music.” While a solidified release date hasn’t been set, we’re eagerly awaiting the group’s new music. —Paige Owens

Following the success of the 20th anniversary tour celebrating They’re Only Chasing Safety, Underoath will drop a still untitled, forthcoming album. While the band has yet to announce a release date and album title, they have unleashed three new singles from the collection, “Generation No Surrender,” “Survivor’s Guilt,” and “Teeth.” —Paige Owens

TBD — Silverstein — Pink Moon

Silverstein’s second half of their double album, Antibloom / Pink Moon, has not been given a release date yet. However, Antibloom drops on February 21 via UNFD, and we know the second half will be well worth the wait. —Paige Owens

TBD — Motion City Soundtrack — TBA

Motion City Soundtrack will release their first album in a decade and first since their reunion this year. Working with legendary producer Sean O’Keefe (Fall Out Boy, Real Friends, The Plain White T’s) in Chicago for the first time in 20 years, the band completed the album in the fall of 2024. If their summer single “Stop Talking” is a sign of what’s to come on the new record, this could be some of the band’s best music to date. —Patrick Walford

TBD — Fit For A King — TBA

Hot off the singles “Keeping Secrets” and “Technium” in 2024 and the resounding success of 2022’s The Hell We Create, Fit For A King has picked up more steam than ever in the past couple of years. Whether it was numerous sold-out headlining tours worldwide or their first-ever amphitheater tour this summer with I Prevail and Halestorm, everything is lining up for this to be FFAK’s biggest album yet. The band headed to LA last fall to work with Daniel Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker, Volumes) for 5 weeks. Vocalist Ryan Kirby said fans will “be surprised at how it sounds” and shared this crushing teaser while in the studio in December. 

TBD — The Devil Wears Prada — TBD

The Devil Wears Prada is gearing up for a massive year that will include celebrating their 20th anniversary and dropping new music. As revealed on Rock The Walls by vocalist Mike Hranica, the band has been flying out to LA for writing sessions with acclaimed producer & hometown buddy Tyler Smyth, along with other producers & songwriters. Mike described their new music as a completely new & different way of writing. If the 2024 single “Ritual” (which they wrote with Smyth) is any indication, the new TDWP record will raise the proverbial metalcore bar. —Patrick Walford
