One could argue that Blink 182 define the pop punk genre. This week’s (Un)covered looks at a cover of their dark but romantic “I Miss You” by the pop punk/boy band 5 Seconds of Summer, who put a surprisingly enjoyable spin on their acoustic version.

Panic! At The Disco ignite a frozen winter night in Minneapolis


The temperature outside the Skyway Theater the night of the Panic! At The Disco’s Minneapolis show was a frigid zero degrees with a wind chill plummeting into the negatives. But that didn’t stop the hardy concertgoers of the Upper Midwest from filing up the venue before the show even started – just in time for Brooklyn’s X Ambassadors and California’s The Colourist to ignite the frozen winter evening with a fire that didn’t die down until long after Panic!’s headlining set had ended.

CMJ Music Marathon announces artist lineup


The 33rd annual CMJ Music Marathon will take place in New York City October 15th-19th. The event, which spans across 80 venues, aims to break new artists as well as feature established artists. Acts playing the festival this year include You Me At Six, The Sounds, The Dismemberment Plan, NGHBRS, Echosmith, Braid, and more. Ashlee and Pete's gay marriage portrait


Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz are keeping their mouths shut for gay marriage. The couple are the latest celebs to take part in NOH8, a campaign supporting efforts to overturn Proposition 8. They were shot by photographer Adam Bouska on Monday with the campaign’s signature look: “NOH8” painted on their cheeks and duct tape over their mouths as a symbol of the pro-gay voices not being heard. Ashlee also holds a wedding veil in the pic. Lil Wayne, Coldplay lead Grammy nominees


He had one of the biggest opening sales weeks of 2008, and now, Lil Wayne is the year’s most-nominated Grammy contender. Wayne and his latest LP, “Tha Carter III,” lead the pack with a total of eight nominations, while one of the year’s other biggest sellers, Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends,” garnered seven nods.
