Arizona rock band, The Maine have announced an incredibly special run of headlining tour dates this winter. To celebrate sixteen years as a band, the group is embarking on the “Sweet 16 Tour” kicking off November 10th in San Diego, CA and wrapping up on December 16th in San Antonio, TX. The tour will also see the band hitting Phoenix, AZ in January and Mexico City in March. This week I have long time friend Joey LaRocca from the band The Briggs, and he started a new band called The Defiant with past members of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Street Dogs, The Offspring, and Smash Mouth, I can’t wait to hear it! We go back about 20 years and he’s seen me play in my bands in all shapes and sizes, we reflect on what it used to be like to book your own tours and how music has drastically changed.
