It’s been 10 years since Daft Punk’s last album, Random Access Memories, and they’re celebrating in a big way. The duo announced the release via their social media. This is a pleasant surprise after officially announcing their retirement from the project in 2021, after 28 years of working together. The 10th anniversary album will include 9 tracks of previously unreleased music. Of course this amps up the anticipation by about 1,000%. Leiji Matsumoto has passed away at the age of 85. You probably know this underappreciated artist’s work well, especially if you love Daft Punk. The manga artist was the creator of the animation for “One More Time”, “Digital Love”, and “Aerodynamic”. He also worked on Interstella 5555, the band’s film centered around their music.
