The music industry is crumbling. With torrenting, streaming, YouTube and a barrage of other services the value of the actual music for an artist has dwindled to a miniscule amount, but Tidal wants to change that. Tidal is the new music-streaming app (re-launched today) by Jay-Z and fellow musicians who want to put money back into the artists’ hands. The current supreme music streaming king, Spotify, gives artists anywhere from $0.006 to $0.0084 per stream to artists; meanwhile Tidal promises to be an “artists for the artist” device to give musicians a better cut of their music plays. Poltergeist Is Getting a Reboot And We’re All Going To Die The worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life, Poltergeist, was SCARY ENOUGH the first time. It is a big part of why I can’t watch scary movies without being in actual fear of peeing myself. (Also, there is no “cute date” option for me that will help me get over this. Ever.) The 90s were the era of innovation. Change came quickly, and there were enough fads to fill three decades. The fashion of the day sometimes meant colorful, eccentric patterns, and at other times meant dark hues and oversized fits. Wherever you were, it never took long to come across somewhere wearing alarmingly thick makeup of the richest colors, in pursuit of being compared to Jennifer Anniston or Cindy Crawford. Leather became the fabric to beat. Music videos were in the process of killing the radio star with MTV rising to power. It almost seemed as if the visual trends of… Read more »
Twenty-four years ago, the human race entered the 90’s. With the neon fishnets and mile-high hair of the 80’s still lingering in the distance, we didn’t have any clue about the epicness that was to ensue. The 90’s were a time for growth, expansion, and learning. Countless ideas came to fruition and many aspects of our society reached peaks we hadn’t imagined.

Reports last week that Apple was close to agreeing to a $3.2bn deal to acquire Beats Electronics were greeted by thunderous and opinionated mainstream media attention.
New emerging markets are fascinating. Like a real-life iteration of Russian Roulette and with similar unpredictability, those who dare play can seemingly become billionaire visionaries overnight, or lose millions and appear hopelessly out of touch.
