March is Women’s History Month, hot on the heels of Black History Month. It should go without saying how important it is to take the time to highlight the invaluable contributions women have made to society and culture. Often, when we celebrate Black History Month we think about the Civil Rights leaders and activists of long ago. I remember being in elementary school and feeling like racism was a thing of the past because of the way it was taught.
