It’s been a few weeks since New York Comic Con and I’ve finally had time to unpack, go through all of my swag bags, and read a bunch of the comics and books I brought home. I should preface this by saying that NYCC is my nerd Christmas and this year they really outdid themselves! From the panels to the live interactive experiences, NYCC 2017 turned it up to 11. So I had a fangirl squee moment, seeing Roger MacKenzie in the opening of episode four “Of Lost Things”. He, Brianna, and Claire are playing history detective, trying to locate where Jamie went after the Battle of Culloden. They find his name among a list of prisoners in Ardsmuir. A sun drenched weekend in Chicago surrounded by live music and spirited company would sound too good to be true if we didn’t have proof that Riot Fest 2017 was exactly that.
