It’s official: With an introduction of “together again,” Blink-182 confirmed that they are back in the Blink business at the Grammy Awards Sunday night (February 8) when they appeared onstage together for the first time in four years. Punk rock group New Found Glory has called time on its major-label career and signed a new deal with Epitaph Records. Its debut for the indie label, produced by former Blink-182 member Mark Hoppus, is due next spring. The Florida-reared group signed to Drive-Thru in 2000, but found its biggest success after parent label MCA took over with 2002’s “Sticks & Stones,” which has sold more than 863,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Former Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus sued a father-and-son business Monday, alleging they pocketed his investment in a venture to install automated checkout machines at McDonald’s restaurants. The lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court says Ed and Jeff Mitchell lined their pockets “to the tune of over $1.5 million.” It alleges their company – Missicom LLC of San Diego – does not have any contracts to install the machines to take orders and collect payments at McDonald’s or anywhere else. Fall Out Boy’s headlining stint on this year’s Honda Civic Tour had a rough beginning last month. In fact, the trek didn’t start at all. Drummer Travis Barker is leaving a European tour with his new band +44 because of an unhealed fractured arm. The former Blink-182 drummer had been on tour despite a fractured right arm he suffered Sept. 9 while filming a video, according to Interscope Records. Barker, 31, will return to Los Angeles to be treated. The band, fronted by former Blink-182 singer and bassist Mark Hoppus, has not announced a replacement drummer.
