Eleven more bands have been added to the Vans Warped Tour 2014 lineup.
Two weeks ago we introduced our new bi-weekly column Double Take, in which we explore the subtle connections between two seemingly-unrelated musical items. For our second installment, idobi writer Marina Oliver looks at the common themes shared between Panic! At The Disco’s mixed-reception sophomore release Pretty. Odd. and Neutral Milk Hotel’s classic In The Aeroplane Over The Sea.
The 33rd annual CMJ Music Marathon will take place in New York City October 15th-19th. The event, which spans across 80 venues, aims to break new artists as well as feature established artists. Acts playing the festival this year include You Me At Six, The Sounds, The Dismemberment Plan, NGHBRS, Echosmith, Braid, and more. Over It.’s sophomore album Intersections still contains his signature vivid guitars and genius lyricism, but ditches the more straightforward pop melodies for something rawer yet more complex. Evan Weiss returns to the roots of Into It. Over It.’s original recordings while also exploring new directions in his music, achieving two goals where artists normally strive for one.
idobi writer Catherine Yi caught up with Issues vocalist Tyler Carter at the Los Angeles stop of their tour with A Day To Remember to discuss the year so far and what else Issues have in store for 2013.
