Drowning Pool's Williams Remembered As One Of Rock's Nicest

A day after the body of Drowning Pool frontman Dave Williams was discovered on the band’s tour bus, details remained scarce but memories of Williams as a fun-loving, kind-hearted character abounded. The 30-year-old singer was found in his bunk by members of Drowning Pool’s touring crew Wednesday afternoon, their publicist said. The band was in Manassas, Virginia, on its way to Thursday’s Ozzfest show in Bristow. An autopsy conducted Thursday morning proved inconclusive, according to a Prince William County police spokesperson. A cause of death is expected to be determined from toxicology tests, which generally take four to six weeks.… Read more »

In an interview in the British magazine The Face, Eminem cites Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and Jimi Hendrix as reference points for his new tracks: “I don’t know if I succeeded or not, but I was trying to capture like a ’70s rock vibe for most of it. Disturbed's Draiman Battles Knuckleheads, Women, Death And Makes Believe

Disturbed vocalist David Draiman has some pretty strong views about religion and art, but over the past year he’s found himself scrutinizing and re-evaluating both. He still values his Jewish heritage, but has felt the sting of its methodology. He remains dedicated to his musical career, yet has been frustrated by his inability to have a life outside of show business. These experiences, along with the overall shroud of insecurity triggered by 9/11, inform Disturbed’s upcoming record, Believe, which the band is currently working on in a Chicago studio. “All the songs revolve around the theme of belief,” Draiman said… Read more »
