Full Raleighpalooza lineup announced


idobi is proud to be teaming up with our friends in Lo Fidelity to bring you the first annual Raleighpalooza Music Festival. The event is taking place Saturday, May 5th at the Raleigh Convention Centre and will feature two stages of live bands, meet and greets, idobi broadcasts from the festival, video games, a half pipe, and much more!

EMI to be split and sold for estimated $3.5B


The NY Post reports that Citigroup is close to the sale of record company EMI. The deal reportedly splits the company in to, with recording artists going into one, and it’s publishing arm sold separately in a deal estimated between $3.3 to $3.5 billion.

Counting Crows and Broken Lizard to share L.A. stage


The Counting Crows will be doing a special performance at the John Anson Ford Ampitheatre in Los Angeles on Friday, October 1st.  The comedy troupe Broken Lizard (Beerfest, Super Troopers) will also be performing that evening.  The unlikely pairing with lead singer Adam Duritz’s Underwater Sunshine Flicks teamed up for the film Freeloaders. The movie will also be showcased during the evening. The movie is a sort of tongue-in-cheek story about a group of loveable slackers living in the home of their super famous rock star friend…and what happens when they have to move out. NIH-Led scientists find antibodies for most HIV strains


Scientists have discovered two potent human antibodies that can stop more than 90 percent of known global HIV strains from infecting human cells in the laboratory, and have demonstrated how one of these disease-fighting proteins accomplishes this feat. According to the scientists, these antibodies could be used to design improved HIV vaccines, or could be further developed to prevent or treat HIV infection. Moreover, the method used to find these antibodies could be applied to isolate therapeutic antibodies for other infectious diseases as well.
