A compilation of the best elements that came from the band’s past releases, All Time Low’s new record Don’t Panic will doubtlessly be an immediate hit among both old and new fans, no matter what album made you fall in love with them in the first place.
In his in-depth interview on The Gunz Show, All Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth discussed the band’s frustration with how long they had to sit on their last album, Dirty Work, which was released through Interscope Records in the spring of 2011. It was a tough thing. I don’t want to badmouth anyone over there – for what they did they were really rad. It was a lot of bad timing, in a lot of ways. It’s kind of happening with all major labels at the moment. It was just one of those textbook situations where we signed, we had… Read more »
Monster Ball’s second leg kicks off in Montreal on June 27 and continues through September.
Though nearly a year has passed since Blink-182 announced its reunion, the wait for the trio’s next album is not over.
The most historic event in Ultimate Fighting Championship’s 100 Event Weekend just got bigger with the announcement that rap-metal pioneer Limp Bizkit is bringing the only performance in the US of its “Unicorns ‘N Rainbows” tour to Mandalay Bay Beach on Friday, July 10th to perform its first North American concert in eight years. UFC representatives were more than happy to welcome the multi-platinum-selling group to the 100 event weekend. “Music is one of the things that makes the UFC experience so exciting, and I’ve always been a big fan of Limp Bizkit, so we are excited to have the… Read more »
With his spiky mohawk, cluttered canvas of tattooed skin and punk rock pedigree stretching back to childhood, Travis Barker isn’t exactly pleading to be taken seriously as a hip-hop head. A former drummer for the multi-platinum-selling power pop trio Blink-182 who also has done turns behind the kit for rock outfits including the Aquabats, +44 and Box Car Racer, he boasts impeccable Warped Tour credentials and critical props as one of modern rock’s most exciting, exacting percussion players. But a funny thing happened when Barker posted a video of himself on YouTube last September drumming thunderously in time with Southern… Read more »
Eminem is about to lose himself with his word processor. The rap megastar, who has chronicled his turbulent life on his albums and the film 8 Mile, is now cranking out an autobiography, his U.K.-based publisher revealed Friday–to the chagrin of the hip-hopster’s camp. Titled Eminem: The Way I Am, the memoir is scheduled to arrive in book stores in Great Britain on Oct. 16, according to a statement from the Orion Publishing Group. “Everyone has their own take on Eminem. Because of where he is from, people think they know where he is at, what kind of person he… Read more »
If you’re expecting some huge sob story from New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert about his band’s recent departure from Geffen Records, well, you can pretty much stop reading right here. Because, as he told MTV News late Wednesday, NFG’s split with the label – the break was announced via a press release earlier this week – was completely mutual, completely painless and, well, completely expected. “It wasn’t a shock to us, because it’s been in the back of our minds for a while. And we were all sort of thinking, ‘What’s going to be our next move?’ ” Gilbert said.… Read more »
AUSTIN, Texas – Every March, the music industry throws on a pair of shorts, slathers on the SPF 45 and heads on down to Austin for South by Southwest, a weeklong celebration of bands, BBQ and (sometimes free!) beer. It’s a brutal bacchanal and music marathon powered by thousands of acts playing in hundreds of venues – at all hours – plus an unreal number of open-bar tabs and fancy private parties. Sleep is not exactly a top priority, so MTV News has dispatched three of its most tireless reporters into the fray. They’ll be filing reports a few times… Read more »
Drummer Travis Barker is leaving a European tour with his new band +44 because of an unhealed fractured arm. The former Blink-182 drummer had been on tour despite a fractured right arm he suffered Sept. 9 while filming a video, according to Interscope Records. A message left at Interscope Records was not immediately returned Sunday. Barker starred in the MTV reality series “Meet the Barkers” with former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, to whom… Read more »
