With a new album dropping, we knew a Fall Out Boy tour was probably coming soon. We just didn’t know how incredible it would really be. The band is bringing along Bring Me the Horizon and Royal & The Serpent. — Death Cab for Cutie is reimagining their latest album, Asphalt Meadows and giving us an acoustic version this March. The original version of their 10th studio album dropped this past September and we’ve been in love ever since. Now we get to experience it all over again on March 10th. — As UK music festivals go, the Phoenix Festival doesn’t have the storied history of Glastonbury or Reading. It only ran for five years, between 1993 and ’97, but it was located pretty close to my home in the Midlands region of England when I was growing up, and so I went to the 1995 event and the two that followed. Women in Iran have been protesting for their rights over the last several months. The protests were sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini who was killed by “morality police” for not wearing her hijab in an “acceptable” way. Spotify has now shown their support by creating a “Woman of Iran” playlist. The artists in the playlist are Iranian musicians and singers. Two of which are Shervin Hajipour and Toomaj Salehi, who have actually been arrested for releasing music that showed support for the protest.
