‘The Conjuring’ Actress Vera Farmiga Covers Slipknot’s “Duality” At Rock Academy


While Vera Farmiga may be known for being a horror icon on the silver screen in ‘The Conjuring’ film franchise and ‘Bates Motel’ TV series, she also has a deep-rooted passion and connection to the music industry. Farmiga’s husband, Renn Hawkey, rose to prominence as the synthesizer player of the nu-metal group Deadsy in the mid-90s. The group worked alongside several major players within the genre including a feature with KORN’s Jonathan Davis on the track “The Key to Gramercy Park” as well as Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst directing the music video for the same single. Sufjan Stevens Takes Us To The Ballet With His New Album


Sufjan Stevens has a history of creating ballet scores for choreographer Justin Peck. Now we’re getting our hands on a new album made up of scores from a performance commissioned by the Houston Ballet in 2019. Stevens announced he’ll be dropping the album Reflections on May 19. While the music is written by Stevens, it is performed by pianists Timo Andres and Conor Hanick.  This is Stevens’ second album made up of scores. Slack Rocker Mac DeMarco Shares Summer Tour Dates


Mac Demarco has announced a string of summer dates to support his brand new instrumental album Five Easy Hot Dogs that came out in January of this year. He shared “Hello, Mac D here, in July we are bringing Five Easy Hot Dogs to the stage. Should be nice, should be different, hopefully, it will be special. Looks Like New Foo Fighters Music Is On The Horizon


It seems that a new era of Foo Fighters is underway. Last week, the band shared a 13-second clip that seemed to be a teaser for a new song. Today, they shared a 25-second version of the same song on their socials.  The clip smacks you in the face with heavy guitar and passion-filled drums. Rancid Return With “Tomorrow Never Comes,” Announces First Album In 6 Years


Just weeks after Tim Armstrong reunited with Operation Ivy’s Jesse Michaels for the announcement of their new band Bad Optix, Armstrong’s legendary punk rock group Rancid has delivered their new single “Tomorrow Never Comes.” Along with the titular track release, the group has announced their first new album since 2017’s Trouble Maker.
