Paris Jackson is finding her true sound within the alternative rock music world. She is back with another attitude-fueled single, “hit your knees“. While all of her music in the last year has been created to showcase her remarkable abilities, this track in particular, is extremely special. Paris Jackson chose to work with an exclusively women-led team on the writing and production of this song. She partnered with co-writer and producer Linda Perry, the front woman of the legendary 90’s rock band, 4 non-blondes. She also brought in Alisha Ballard, of EqualizeHer. EqualizeHer is an organization that works to solve gender… Read more »

For the last few years, the Nashville rock scene has proven itself to be a powerful hub where the best artists and songwriters in the scene cross paths and make magic. Today is no exception, as Music City’s very own Knox and Charlotte Sands have dropped an emotional new track, “We’re Not In Love Anymore.” Having worked together as writers alongside acts such as John Harvie and Arrows In Action, the single is the first that Knox and Charlotte Sands have both written and performed together. Legacy Washington modern rockers Death Cab For Cutie has been nothing short of busy in 2023. Ahead of their co-headlining fall tour with Ben Gibbard’s other project The Postal Service, the band released a brand-new single “An Arrow In The Wall,” which oozes indie sleaze vibes of the late aughts. With a combination of punchy basslines, sultry and dark vocals, and ethereal synth sounds, the meaning behind the song only makes sense. “‘An Arrow In the Wall’ is about the warning signs all around us in the 21st century that society-at-large is in decay,” Gibbard says. “The arrow lodged in… Read more »
Seeing him tonight is a bad idea right? Olivia Rodrigo has shared her second single “bad idea right?” from her upcoming sophomore album GUTS out September 8th. In all its pop-rock glory, the new track is nothing short of an absolute BANGER. Starting off with a grungy guitar riff, you are immediately transported into the attitude-filled, tongue-in-cheek world that Rodrigo has perfected. It is snotty, clever, and feels like a shit-eating grin of a track. Olivia Rodrigo basically talks the verses, in a smug, self-satisfied fashion. She is doing something she shouldn’t, making a probable mistake, but frankly doesn’t care.… Read more »

Serving as the final precursor to their full-length release on August 25, “Marvel” encapsulates the band’s distinctive indie-punk essence. “Marvel” is masterfully woven together with the heartfelt delivery of lead vocalist Dylan Slocum and adds an authentic and vulnerable dimension to the release.
