“As individuals, we’re misfits,” says Fergie, the sultry female singer of the Black Eyed Peas “Together, we’re like one big misfit. People are always questioning who the hell we are.” It is the day after the group’s May 6th performance, on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Chilling out in a small, sparsely furnished room at Center Staging in Burbank, California, she and fellow members of the multiracial group resemble a live version of a United Colors of Benetton ad. Fergie is dressed in black-and-white capri-length leggings set off by a hot pink shirt and a sharp pair of black ankle-strapped heels… Read more »

Spices Set for "Amazing" Return

The five are ready to become one and things couldn’t be more “spectacular.” That’s the word from Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm, who on the eve of the Spice Girls reunion, broke down the hotly anticipated comeback for E! Online. It’s been seven years since the quintet was riding girl power to the top of the charts, but Chisholm says that aside from them all being in their 30s, she hasn’t seen too much change in Baby, Scary, Ginger and Posh Spice. (In non-Spice World that’s Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, respectively.) In fact, their original Spice… Read more »

The Wallflowers last CD, Red Letter Days, made little impact on the charts and their huge hit single “One Headlight” is a flickering memory. The group’s website lists a May 24 release date, with the first single “The Beautiful Side Of Somewhere” to be released to radio stations in the middle of March. Aerosmith Readies Honkin' New Blues Set

The long expected blues album from veteran rock act Aerosmith will finally arrive later this month. “Honkin’ on Bobo,” due March 30 via Columbia, finds the band paying homage to its influences as it covers a host of blues classics. The 12-track set also includes one new Aerosmith song, “The Grind.” “We’re not making an album for blues purists, we’re not making an album to educate people in the blues, we’re not making an album to try and copy Muddy Waters,” guitarist Joe Perry told Billboard.com last year. “What we’re doing is taking songs that when we heard them made… Read more »
