What better way to kick off a weekend than with new music? Featuring new tracks from Good Charlotte, Moose Blood, Marianas Trench, and more.
The Virginmarys have had a rough year, but with a new EP and unbridled passion, they’re ready for a new chapter.
With a certain industry critic quipping recently that the album format is dead, the success of The Visual Album goes to show that the album format is only as alive as the artistic creativity and expression that it possesses from front-to-back, and that that such creativity and talent is still rewarded in the music industry.

Mike Ness is the sole remaining original member of Social Distortion, the southern California rockabilly punk band that rose to prominence during the 1980s.
The group turned June Carter Cash’s “Ring of Fire” into a staple of rock radio, and Ness’ hardscrabble youth inspired such hits as “Story of My Life” and “Prison Bound.”
Social Distortion’s first album in more than six years, “Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes,” recently debuted at No. 4 on the U.S. pop chart, the highest ranking in the band’s career. The road warriors will begin a U.S. tour in Albuquerque on Tuesday, and then hit Europe for the summer festivals.
He had one of the biggest opening sales weeks of 2008, and now, Lil Wayne is the year’s most-nominated Grammy contender. Jay-Z, Ne-Yo and Kanye West each earned six nods, while Alison Krauss, John Mayer, Robert Plant, Radiohead and Jazmine Sullivan received five each. Adele is up for four – including Best New Artist – as are Lupe Fiasco and T.I. The… Read more »
At the American Music Awards on Sunday (November 23), Miley Cyrus, celebrating her 16th birthday, broke character a bit, performing a saucy, seductive version of her new single, “Fly on the Wall”; Mariah Carey delivered a riveting rendition of “I Stay in Love”; and a barely lucid Scott Weiland ironically introduced Pink’s performance of “Sober,” calling her “one of the greatest artists of our time.” Later, Pink even joined Sarah McLachlan for a duet on “Angel.” The New Kids on the Block and Christina Aguilera both performed medleys of their most beloved tunes. Justin Timberlake gave us a lesson on… Read more »
Not only have the Jonas Brothers notched the year’s third-biggest debut album, they’ve managed the rare feat of having two albums in the top 10 at the same time. “A Little Bit Longer,” the third album from the trio of siblings, sold more than 525,000 copies to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 album charts, according to figures released by Nielsen SoundScan on Wednesday. Only Lil Wayne (whose “Tha Carter III” sold a little more than 1 million in its first week) and Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” (which topped the chart with 720,000 its first week) have… Read more »
Lil Wayne was arrested on three felony drug charges Wednesday after federal agents said they found illegal drugs, including cocaine, on his charter bus at a checkpoint in southwestern Arizona. The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., spent the day at the Yuma County jail on the state drug charges before being released, Capt. Eben Bratcher said. After posting more than $10,000 bond, the rapper signed autographs for fans outside a bondsman’s office. James Tilson, a local lawyer retained by Carter, said that his client was not formally charged and that his next court date was scheduled… Read more »
