Latin Grammy Loss Hurts Miami's Pride, Pocketbook

Hoteliers, restaurateurs and tourism promoters mourned the loss of the $40 million bonanza that the now-decamped Latin Grammy awards show was expected to bring to the Miami area. The History of Brownie Mary!

The Nerds start out the show with some local news on the downfall of the cannabis industry here in California, we try to get to the bottom of what is going on around here! Then, since it’s Pride month and we need to celebrate, we break down the history of Brownie Mary – one of cannabis’s first pioneers and advocates and how she provided safe medicinal cannabis access to her patients suffering from the AIDS crisis in the 80’s. It’s inspiring moment that gives us hope to keep fighting the good fight to end the stigma of cannabis! So don’t panic! It’s organic!

The Nerds and Hason!

It’s Pride month and the nerds are here and queer and joined by the wonderful and talented musician (and TS’s favorite co-worker!) Hason! We have a long awaited chat about his journey into music, his vision and his activism! Join us as we play Hason’s music and talk about what the future holds for the budding (yes, that was an intended pun) LA artist! Check out all of Hason’s music and as Hason says “It’s a great day to be alive!” Don’t panic! It’s organic!

ASW (Alex Wagner)

Happy PRIDE Month! ASW is a Queer artist celebrating PRIDE by using his music to fundraise and advocate for important causes. Alex was kind enough to share his own experience with mental health and the global not-for-profit organization Crisis Text Line. How the organization was a tremendous support to him and how he eventually became a volunteer. We also discuss his new music; his upcoming Dahlia EP will drop via Popgang Records in August, and his latest single, “Roots” is streaming now!
