Oh June, the best month of the year if you’re a queer person. Whether you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex or anywhere in-between on the wide spectrum of the queer community, it is YOUR month. I’ve played in bands, toured the country, released albums and obsessed over all things music for basically my entire life. I host a show right here on idobi radio called Punk Goes Pride.… Read more »
May is Asian American or Pacific Islander Heritage (AAPI) Month, and it would be terribly remiss of us to not cover that in this column.
The Nerds start out the show with some local news on the downfall of the cannabis industry here in California, we try to get to the bottom of what is going on around here! Then, since it’s Pride month and we need to celebrate, we break down the history of Brownie Mary – one of cannabis’s first pioneers and advocates and how she provided safe medicinal cannabis access to her patients suffering from the AIDS crisis in the 80’s. It’s inspiring moment that gives us hope to keep fighting the good fight to end the stigma of cannabis! So don’t panic! It’s organic!
It’s Pride month and the nerds are here and queer and joined by the wonderful and talented musician (and TS’s favorite co-worker!) Hason! Join us as we play Hason’s music and talk about what the future holds for the budding (yes, that was an intended pun) LA artist! Check out all of Hason’s music and as Hason says “It’s a great day to be alive!” Don’t panic! It’s organic!
Happy PRIDE Month! ASW is a Queer artist celebrating PRIDE by using his music to fundraise and advocate for important causes. How the organization was a tremendous support to him and how he eventually became a volunteer. We also discuss his new music; his upcoming Dahlia EP will drop via Popgang Records in August, and his latest single, “Roots” is streaming now!
