Senses — “Perfect” (Simple Plan Cover)
Hopeless Records has revealed a new track for Songs That Saved My Life. Los Angeles duo Senses offered up their own cover of Simple Plan’s 2002 hit, “Perfect,” to add to the compilation. They say, “We are so excited to be a part of Songs That Saved My Life. One of the biggest reasons we make music is to create the safe space that we needed growing up, and still need today. Mental health is such an important part of this ever-evolving world, and anything bringing help and awareness to it is something we believe in so heavily, and are so proud to be a part of.” Proceeds will be donated to suicide awareness and prevention organizations. You can find out more via the Songs That Saved My Life program.
Sawyer Hill — “Tyin’ The Noose”
Following his support slot on YUNGBLUD‘s recent IDOLS tour, Sawyer Hill is ready to reveal his debut record, Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy, on August 21. But first, he showcased its lead single, “Tyin’ The Noose,” an alt-rock, blues-laced offering. He says, “On my earlier music, I felt like I was singing about things less specific to me. Maybe I hadn’t figured it out yet and therefore could not get across who I am, which makes this album feel more genuine.” This debut record is one to absolutely mark on your calendars. With a soothing classic rock voice and a modern indie edge, you’ll immediately fall in love with Hill’s unique style.
King Mala — “The Party”
On June 2, aka KiNG MALA‘s birthday, the artist released a new song as a gift to all of us. It’s aptly entitled “THE PARTY.” In the mood of gift-giving, she also revealed that “there are some surprises for you on www.kingmala.com… also keep your sep/oct calendar open for some things… also clear a space on your vinyl shelf baby.” Plus, there’s an official Spotify countdown for the Director’s Cut of her debut album, And You Who Drowned in the Grief of a Golden Thing, due out on July 2.
Cherry Bomb — “Sorry You’re Not Sorry”
Misterwives‘ Mandy Lee just dropped a new song from her solo venture Cherry Bomb, and it is perfect for Pride Month. She says, “‘Sorry You’re Not Sorry’ is for the pivotal moment when you stop begging closed doors to open and make peace with the grief that comes with choosing closure over receiving it. It’s no surprise pain and pleasure are processed in the same part of the brain, and perhaps that’s why I often blur the line between the two in music.”
Lee adds, “The Haus Of Cherry dismantles a world I didn’t feel love and acceptance in,” adds Lee, “and it puts it back together anew with the help of a congregation of divas, a dazzling drag priest, and convent of showgirl nuns.”
Wayside — “Invisible Strings”
Wayside just signed to Memory Music and unveiled their dazzling new single, “Invisible Strings.” Vocalist Thomas Davenport says, “Joining Memory is a dream come true for us. It feels like our music finally has the right home… it feels like family.”
Producer Will Yip adds, “Wayside are exactly the kind of band Memory Music was built for. There’s a real honesty and weight to what they do, but also this huge sense of melody and atmosphere that makes it feel completely their own. While we worked on ‘Invisible Strings,’ it felt like the start of a really important new chapter for them. I’m proud to welcome them into the Memory Music family and help bring this next era to life.”
boycomma — “Comme Ci Comme Ça“
SoCal emo outfit boycomma just dropped a thrilling new offering with “Comme Ci Comme Ça,”—their first release of 2026. With larger-than-life guitar melodies sure to stick in your mind all month long, and soaring rock vocals from frontman Brad Warriner, you will instantly fall in love with the rising act. Uniquely, the track itself was inspired by one of Warriner’s dreams, where trees grew through his bedroom floor. And don’t you dare skip over this song’s blistering and haunting climax!
honestav – “Know Better”
honestav just dropped his new album, Sweet American Boy, and from it, he also revealed the official music video for “Know Better.” He says of the full record, “When everything started blowing up, I felt like I was constantly playing catch-up with my own reality. This album is me finally stopping to look in the mirror and deal with the fallout. It’s about the friction between who I used to be and the person I’m becoming. I wanted to create something that sounds like the chaos in my mind—stripping it down to a guitar one minute, and letting it explode into something massive the next. It’s an album about survival, mistakes, and trying to keep your feet on the ground when your whole world shifts overnight.” Check out the new album and grab tour tickets here.
Post Sex Nachos — “All For You”
Nashville indie rockers Post Sex Nachos crave the mundanity of routines at home, despite also loving their life on the road in their new single. With glistening indie melodies, euphoric choruses, and groovy basslines, this is exactly the indie act you need to listen to right now, and it doesn’t hurt that they have an unforgettable band name.
Singer Sammy Elfanbaum says, “‘All For You’ was written at a time where I was pretty down on touring — not playing shows, but just being away from home. It’s wishing that I could have the best of both worlds, living this life of playing my songs to people without leaving my city, leaving my fiancé and animals behind. It’s a long-winded love song for those who stay at home while their partners work on the road.” Stay tuned for their fifth album, Big Bad, arriving on September 18, with a headline tour to follow.
Cheekface — “No Fly Zone”
Cheekface is gearing up for the release of their new album Podium, out July 28, but first, they dropped their delightfully chaotic track, “No Fly Zone.” The group shared on social media, “This is (loosely) a song about the temptation to get back together with your shitty ex. Some may read it as a political metaphor. That is up to your interpretation. Stay to the end for Em Williams’ wailing tenor sax moment.” In classic Cheekface fashion, this breezy track is equal parts goofy and earnest, with sonics that’ll hook you immediately. Catch them on the road this summer!
Karen Dió — “Free Yourself”
Karen Dió has some advice for you on her new song…it’s time to “Free Yourself.” Uniquely, this song came to Dió in a dream, sharing, “Most of the time, I unfortunately forget the songs by the time I’m awake, but I’m glad I remembered this one. Later the same day, I decided to work on it, and the melody of the chorus immediately came. When I showed the embryo of it to Matt (Bigland of Dinosaur Pile, Karen’s husband and writing partner), he immediately was like, ‘That’s a hit!’ so we started to write the rest.”
She adds, “During the whole process of writing ‘Free Yourself,’ we would remind ourselves to be completely free with our creativity and, to be honest, to try being ridiculous sometimes. One of my favorite parts of the song came from an improvisation where I said, ‘Jeans are dangerous,’ and Matt thought it was great, but he thought I said, ‘Genes are dangerous.’ We loved both quotes, but we decided to go with ‘Genes are dangerous’ because it felt more provocative.”
