This week I have friend/magician Day Mori! I met him from just seeing him around LA, and I remember he blew my mind with a magic trick when we were at Bonnie McKee’s house for the 4th of July in 2022. Ever since then it’s been fun to see Day grow up and learn how he got his love for magic, he even performs at the famous Magic Castle, he also does music and I get his story on how he got from point A to B.

The Brooklyn-based math rock connoisseur, Jhariah has released their highly-anticipated new song, “RISK, RISK, RISK!” today. Sonically, this track is a HELL of a song. It is rare for an up-and-coming artist to successfully blend so many different soundscapes and influences into one track, but Jhariah does it and does it perfectly. It is glaringly obvious that they are making a big splash into the alternative rock scene, and this new song cements their place at the table. Alternative rock is a severe understatement though. There is not a box that Jhariah can be put into. They impressively fuse dance-punk,… Read more »
NOAHFINNCE, the alias of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Noah Adams, shares a brand new track, “GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET” today. Noah rose to fame pretty early in his life. Before his music career even began, he was reaching millions of people as a high schooler on the internet. This is a wonderful thing on paper, but when you peel back the first layer of internet success, it can be pretty dark underneath. He was essentially a child in the… Read more »

The music video, directed by Nick Stafford, is simple, but positively stunning. The video featuring lead vocalist John O’Callaghan is shot in black and white on a bridge with a cityscape in the background. Seemingly, “thoughts i have while lying in bed” is a one-shot take, which is even more impressive. Check out the full music video below. The earnest indie tune is rich in… Read more »

One of the prominent pioneers of the emo rap scene, Lil Lotus has returned today with a brand new track, “Millionaire“. It is a glitchy, pop-soaked tune bathed in guitars and sprinkled with synths. Snuggling somewhere between pop-punk, alternative rap, and hyperpop, the new song showcases Lil Lotus’ ability to blend genres and create something entirely unique. This track lives as a distaste for those who have everything they will ever need, yet still remain unsatisfied. According to Lil Lotus, “Millionaire” is about “people being big fucking crybabies and not being grateful for what they have.” Yeah, we all know… Read more »
