SNL Hires Then Fires Bigot Disguised As A Comedian SNL has been accused of partaking in “cancel culture” for firing a newly hired cast member, Shane Gillis, after videos of racist conversations and bigoted podcasts came to light. In these, Gillis and another less than memorable guy hold conversations where they both contribute their racist and homophobic ideas. The unimpressive performer issued an arrogant non-apology and has been defended by people clamoring to combat cancel culture. Mike Posner Walked 1,632 miles before being bitten by a rattlesnake on his Walk Across America. On August 8, the Grammy-nominated musician crossed into Colorado state from Kansas when he was bitten by a baby rattlesnake. He has been chronicling his journey across the US on his twitter page which began on April 15, in Farmingdale New Jersey. His website is home to his very uplifting mission statement and goals. November 23, 2019, marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the quintuple platinum Metallica–San Francisco Symphony album “S&M”. The idea for the symphonic and metallic collaboration came from Metallica’s late Cliff Burton. Burton passed away in 1986 but his idea lived on in his bandmates and came to fruition years later when they performed on April 21 and 22 of 1999 at Berkeley Community Theater. Rancid and Pennywise are co-headlining a 10-date tour in September. Supporting bands Suicidal Tendencies, The English Beat, The Aquabats, Turnstile, Iron Reagan (I love that name so much), and Angel Du$t will change depending on the city. The tour isn’t an out of the blue attempt, Rancid and Pennywise have been keeping busy in and out of the studio, consistently playing shows in support of their most recent records.
