After last year’s majorly successful AP Music Awards, Alternative Press have announced that this year’s awards will take place on July 22, 2015 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH. This year, the hosts are idobi’s own Full Frontal radio hosts, Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat!
Fearless Records has announced Volume 6 for their Punk Goes Pop series. The record is due out November 17th.

It’s not homicide authorities are investigating over at the rap label formerly known as Murder Inc. Instead, federal investigators are slowly putting the pieces together of an alleged dirty-money operation-with some big names in the rap world involved. On Wednesday, cops arrested the manager of the label’s flagship rapper, Ja Rule. Ron “Gutta” Robinson, 29, was rung up on money-laundering charges in federal court and released on $500,000 bond. The 29-year-old’s legal rep, Stacey Richman, told the Associated Press her client would fight the charges against him. Any effort to rewrite the latest federal rules for radio must include a broad investigation into such issues as “pay-for-play” and artist intimidation, according to music and artists’ groups. Michael Bracey, director of government relations for the Future of Music Coalition, says his group wants the Federal Communications Commission to examine “pay-for-play and vertical integration” in the radio industry. The group opposes FCC rule changes that were enacted June 7. Sire Records, the label that introduced the world to Madonna, Talking Heads and the Ramones, is being resurrected and will officially rejoin the Warner Bros. Records family of labels. Label founder Seymour Stein’s first signing under the new deal is the Von Bondies. Also on the Sire roster are Morcheeba, Guster, the Distillers, Hot Hot Heat, Less Than Jake and the Hives (through a joint venture with Burning Heart/Epitaph).
