Last week we published our official top albums of 2013 list, featuring everyone from The Wonder Years and Fall Out Boy to The 1975 and Vampire Weekend. Lots of complicated math and science were involved in calculating the final list, but we thought we’d let you have a look at all of our individual staff lists as well.
After a series of teasing tweets from members of the band, From First to Last have revealed that they’ll be getting back together. Sadly it’s without Sonny Moore as he’s busy being, you know, Skrillex, but they’ll be releasing a new EP independently sometime next year. The 33rd annual CMJ Music Marathon will take place in New York City October 15th-19th. The event, which spans across 80 venues, aims to break new artists as well as feature established artists. In the past few years, Harrisburg, PA’s Koji has become just as well-known for his activism, unrelenting positivity, and the intimacy of his live shows as he has for his recorded music. He just arrived home from an extensive North American co-headliner with labelmates Turnover, and idobi editor Eleanor Grace caught up with him at one of the tour’s final dates to talk about how the past two months on the road have treated him, working with a full band, his thoughts on the scene, and how this tour has seen him reclaim his voice.

California rockers Culprit have released “Totem”, the title track from their forthcoming EP to be released on August 20th via Easy Killer Records. Produced by Dryw Owens (From Indian Lakes, Consider the Thief) and Erik Ron (I the Mighty, Panic! at the Disco), Totem will be Culprit’s follow-up effort to 2011’s independently released Analogue.
