Legendary rock band, Fall Out Boy have treated fans to a modernized take on the Billy Joel classic, “We Didn’t Start The Fire” today. Everything from pop culture to political references were strewn throughout the verses and broken up with an explosive chorus. It’s been nearly 35 years since Billy Joel’s version. Fall Out Boy deemed it necessary to give the track an up-to-date resurrection in true millennial… Read more »

MAX showed me his Hell’s Kitchen and took me on an audiovisual tour of the streets he walks everyday.

Honestly, one of my favorite singer songwriters has been Andrew McMahon. Being at Drive Thru Records and hearing original SoCo demo’s I was blown away – I remember the early comparisons we used to say relating SoCo to Billy Joel with a rock indie feel to it. Since then, Andrew has worked his ass off – devoting his DIY attitude and non-stop touring and his many music endeavors to have a permanent fixture in the music industry. I was blessed and honored to speak with him so give it a listen and support his new EP!

Unfortunately, despite the presence of not one but two KISS cover bands, neither act is the Rock Daily faves Mini-KISS. The whole fake fest party will go down at Vegas’ infamously tented Fremont Street, where… Read more »
The term “singer-songwriter” makes Gavin DeGraw cringe. “It makes you feel like a weakling the way all the singer songwriters are marketed, you know what I mean? … It’s not masculine enough for me. I don’t feel like I fall into that category in a lot of ways,” he said about his “typecasted genre.” Maybe it’s because he was seen as the sensitive songwriter dude that the gregarious 31-year-old is anxious to break out of that mold. DeGraw – who sings, writes his own songs and plays multiple instruments – debuted his skills as a pop artist on his 2003… Read more »
