Silverstein make a triumphant return in 2013 with a release that not only reflects their roots, but also explores new complexities not heard on prior releases. This Is How the Wind Shifts is arguably Silverstein’s most ambitious, mature, and progressive album to date.
Silverstein will release their seventh studio album This Is How The Wind Shifts on February 5th, 2013 via Hopeless Records. The band has also announced an extensive tour in support of the album throughout North America and Europe.
For the thousands of eager hardcore fans who gathered under the glittering florescent marquée, there was no doubt that The Wiltern Theatre at the corner of Wilshire and Western boulevards was the place to be Friday night.

Shelley Duvall, of the 1980 thriller ‘The Shining’ died overnight at her home in Blanco, TX. Longtime partner, Dan Gilroy, reports that Duvall passed in her sleep due to complications from Diabetes. Gilroy told The Hollywood Reporter, “My dear, sweet, wonderful life partner and friend left us. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley,” Duvall began her career in 1970 after Robert Altman cast her as Suzanne in Brewster McCloud.
