Slipknot, Disturbed, More To Headline Sonic Temple Festival 2024


For metal and heavy rock fans of the Midwest, today is a big announcement day. Sonic Temple Festival 2024 officially shared their lineup for their upcoming event. Taking place May 16-19, festival-goers can see a major fest at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus. Of course, the headliners are worth the travel and ticket price alone. Disturbed will headline on Thursday, The Original Misfits take the stage on Friday, Pantera will perform on Saturday, and Slipknot will close out the entire fest on Sunday night. Poppy Unveils Details Of Brand New Album ‘Zig’


Iconic dark-pop star, Poppy has unveiled the details of her forthcoming album Zig today. The new album is set to release October 27th via Sumerian Records. Supporting the announcement of the new project, Poppy dropped a brand new song, “Knockoff” as well. This surrealist alt-pop track comes as the second teaser from Zig, following “Church Outfit” that dropped in April of this year. Artemis Chief Abruptly Exits Label


Artemis Records chairman/CEO Danny Goldberg is leaving the independent label he founded in 1999 due to what sources said Wednesday were “philosophical differences” with its owners. Artemis president Daniel Glass has been elevated to president/CEO of the label, which is the home of such acts as Steve Earle, Pretenders, Kittie and the late Warren Zevon. New Artemis releases from Better Than Ezra, Black Label Society and bluesman Hubert Sumlin are due soon. Goldberg will continue as a consultant. Metallica Gets Thrashed In New '80s Metal Documentary


Thrash metal bands from the early ’80s and beyond are the subject of a new documentary called Get Thrashed, which should be released before the end of the year. According to Rollingstone.com, Metallica, Godsmack, Disturbed, Anthrax, Slipknot, Kittie, Meshuggah are among the bands profiled by director Rick Ernst for the film which explores the early thrash metal scene and its subsequent impact.
