Paramore recently wrapped up a tour of the UK and Ireland, their first shows on that side of the Atlantic in four years. Bringing their new album, This Is Why to the masses, it was a beautiful, heartwarming and awe-inspiring experience.
How do we know? Well, the band have shared a video showing exactly what went down.
Starting out with Hayley Williams listening to and loving “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston, it takes us through every city they played in. From Dublin to Cardiff, Birmingham to London, a little piece of magic is captured in each city. We have Hayley smiling from ear to ear as she stands with Zac Farro shaking his tambourine in Cardiff. There’s the band playing ping-pong in the empty Dublin arena.
A boat trip down the Thames. Confetti falls on an awaiting crowd. A single soul dances like their life depended on it, and another cries their eyes out in pure joy. There are marriage proposals, dance moves, and lights that glisten like stars in the sky. And it is all soundtracked to “Crave”, a song about nostalgia, but also about how these moments that we are living now are just as special.
It’s a beautiful document of a special tour for Paramore, and it’s here for you to watch again and again.
