Inside The Music with The Ghost Inside


The Ghost Inside are heading out with Attack Attack! on the “This Means War” Tour later this week. I had the chance to talk about a few tracks from Fury And The Fallen Ones and Returners with Vocalist Johnathan Vigil before they headed into the studio to record their third album. TGI wrapped recording last week with Andrew Wade and Jeremy McKinnon at The Wade Studios in Ocala,FL. Expect it out this Summer on Epitaph Records.

As Record Store Day approaches on April 16, the fourth annual event continues to be an increasingly valued channel through which to sell music.

The number of stores expected to participate will be about the same as last year: about 1,400 around the world.

U2, Springsteen Kick Off Inaugural Celebration


On Sunday, dozens of the world’s best-known entertainers gathered on the site where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream Speech” 45 years ago to offer an exuberant welcome to President-elect Barack Obama. More than $5 million paid for TV inaugural events


Television networks paid more than $5 million for exclusive rights to show events surrounding President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, including Sunday’s Lincoln Memorial concert and the Neighborhood Ball where Beyonce will serenade the new first couple.Nearly half the money, $2.5 million, will be paid by HBO. The cable network is showing Sunday’s concert – featuring U2, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder and others – live and will repeat it that night. Earth Day music festival expands to 8 cities


The 2008 Green Apple Festival won’t “change the world,” Green Apple founder/executive producer Peter Shapiro says, but this year’s third installment of the event will expand from three locations to eight U.S. city parks for simultaneous outdoor festivals on April 20.
