After headlining two momentous performances at When We Were Young Fest in Las Vegas last month, My Chemical Romance has announced a 10-show North American stadium tour. The Long Live The Black Parade Tour will celebrate nearly 20 years of the band’s mainstream breakout album, The Black Parade, released in 2006.
Yesterday, the New Jersey natives teased fans with a cryptic message: “If you could be anything, what would you be?” The post shared across their various channels, sparked widespread excitement and speculation.
The Live Nation-produced tour launches next summer with the 10 dates spread from July through September, with a rotating lineup of support. Amongst the opening support acts, My Chemical Romance will be joined by Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, Garbage, Death Cab For Cutie and Thursday, Alice Cooper, The Pixies, DEVO, IDLES, and Evanescence.
Additionally, the saviors of the broken, the beaten, and the damned, have launched a tour trailer. Does anyone else get the feeling that MCR just launched the resistance?!

In a social caption accompanying the trailer, the band writes, “It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about “THE CONCRETE AGE”; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG. His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator’s National Band… The Black Parade. Long Live Draag”
