Alice Cooper has been named the recipient of this year’s Living Legend Award from the International Horror Guild, marking the first time the Guild has reached beyond the literary world to give someone the honor. Previous winners have included authors Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison, and Clive Barker, among others. Alice Cooper will release his new album, Dragontown, on October 9th. The album is the final volume in a trilogy that Cooper began in 1994 with The Last Temptation and continued last year with Brutal Planet. Dragontown was produced, arranged and mixed by Bob Marlette, who also produced Brutal Planet. Bob Ezrin, who worked previously on some of Cooper’s best-known songs, including “School’s Out,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “I’m Eighteen,” served as the album’s executive producer.
