Doctor Octopus is back! Yup, the Spider-Man 3 rumor mill has been churning out whispers for months but now The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Alfred Molina is returning to reprise his delightfully villainous role. We last saw Doc Ock in 2004’s Spider-Man 2 starring Tobey McGuire as Peter Parker (we know, there’s been a lot of different Spider-Mans, it’s hard to keep up) where he quickly became a fan-favorite nemesis.

With rumors circulating that Jamie Foxx will return as Electro (from the Amazing Spider-Man era) and the confirmation that Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will appear as a mentor to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, it looks like this still-to-be-named sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home is going to be the most ambitious crossover since Infinitywait. Okay, it’s going to be awesome to see so many different characters from all three Spider-Man reboots come together.
