News Flashes 09.06.22: Possible Drama For Harry Styles, Brendan Fraser’s Comeback, and Justin Bieber’s Health Update

Today we talk about the internet’s investigation of Harry Styles, Brendan Fraser’s return to acting, and Justin Bieber stepping away from tour.

The Internet is Worried, Darling

The internet is buzzing right now after this weekend’s Venice International Film Festival. Of course, not all of it is about movies. Leading up to the premiere of Don’t Worry Darling at the festival, there was already speculation of behind the scenes drama. Everything from Shia LaBeouf quitting the film to lead actress Florence Pugh not getting along with director Olivia Wilde. Then you throw in Pugh’s opposite and Wilde’s boyfriend, Harry Styles and the web of drama doesn’t end. The layers of rumored chaos had everyone ready to analyze every photo and video from the world premiere in Italy.

However, the internet detectives are having a field day with an unexpected bit of potential tension. A video has emerged of Harry Styles going to his seat in the theater. Actor Chris Pine was already sitting down in between Styles and Wilde. Fans are speculating, based on facial movements from Styles and a reaction from Pine, that Styles may have spit on his co-star as he sat down. It’s suspected that if he did, it could be because he was sitting down next to his girlfriend. Which all seems very high school. Harry Styles is loved by most on the internet and is known to be kind. So an accusation like this seems out of character and a bit…well…wild (pun kind of intended). So what do you think? Is Harry jumping in on the drama and getting petty?

Brendan Fraser Makes a Comeback

In a more wholesome moment during the Venice International Film Festival, Brendan Fraser received a 6 minute standing ovation for his work in The Whale. It seems like it has been ages since seeing Fraser’s name in the headlines. Especially for something positive. The actor was so loved during projects like The Mummy, but a large gap of time has passed since then. In the meantime, he has dealt with personal loss, had to recover from injuries due to The Mummy, and dealt with backlash from vocalizing that he was a victim of sexual misconduct in the industry. It has been a hard road for the actor, so many were emotional during the standing ovation and are already talking about an Oscar nomination.

The Whale is about a 600 pound man who is seeking to restore his relationship with his estranged daughter, played by Stranger ThingsSadie Sink. The film is directed by Darren Aronofsky. We hope that this recognition of talent means that we will start seeing more of Fraser again.

Justin Bieber Needs a Break

It has been a rough year for Justin Bieber and his fans are feeling the effects. Earlier this summer, the artist had to cancel the rest of the North American leg of his tour due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. The condition had left half of his face paralyzed so he needed to take a step back. After feeling better, Bieber announced he would continue on with his tour. However, it isn’t going as he expected. Earlier today he took to Instagram to say that he was going to cancel the rest of his tour. After his show in Rio his stories said, “After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. I’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better. I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world. Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this! I love you all passionately!”

We hope he’s able to find the rest and recovery he needs to return back to what he loves to do.
