If you were a Warped Tour kid and love museums, you’re in for a surprise. Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman just announced that he will be hosting a private tour of the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas.
Taking place on the morning of October 21, Lyman will guide punk rock fans through the 12,000-square-foot facility designed to give visitors a lesson on the history of the genre.
Today, Lyman shared the news with his followers in an Instagram video.
“I’m super stoked to be coming up to Las Vegas and the Punk Rock Museum where I will be giving a guided tour,” he says. “I hope you can join me to walk down memory lane and check out all of the great exhibits before you head off to the When We Were Young Festival.”

While the Punk Rock Museum is a new attraction in Las Vegas, it is already making a name for itself. Founded by “Fat Mike” Burkett of NOFX, the museum opened its doors on April 1, 2023 to showcase over 1,000 artifacts documenting the genre’s history and prevalence throughout the years. Their collection includes everything from instruments and handwritten lyrics, to clothing and photos of punk rock’s founding fathers, including The Misfits, the Ramones, and The Clash. There’s even a guitar room where guests can play the actual instruments that their favorite artists took on the road. While the facility is state-of-the-art, the owners operate their business with a punk rock, DIY attitude.
“Yes… you can actually PLAY THEM,” the museum’s website reads. “A lot of people ask, “what happens if something gets broken?” The simple answer, we fix it – just like we did on tour.”
The world’s “first comprehensive punk museum” also features some unique amenities. For visitors wanting some new ink, the Punk Rock Museum has its own tattoo parlor featuring some of Vegas’ best artists. The goal of “The Shop” is to make the museum “a tactile, hands on experience” for fans wanting to pay homage to their favorite bands and take their punk rock devotion to the next level.

Visitors of the Punk Rock Museum can also grab a drink at the museum’s dive bar. The Triple Down bar gives guests the opportunity to immersive themselves in the grungy nightlife experience of touring bands and get away from the Vegas heat. Lastly, if you’re looking to get hitched with the girl at the rock show, there’s a wedding chapel on the property as well.
When We Were Young Fest attendees can experience Kevin Lyman’s guided tour at 10:30 AM PT on October 21, before attending the festival when doors open at 11:00 AM.
