Militarie Gun has teamed up with Manchester Orchestra to rework their track, “My Friends Are Having A Hard Time.” The collaboration is off of the fast-rising Los Angeles group’s incoming EP, Life Under The Sun, and comes out on January 26 via Loma Vista. The collection is comprised of five tracks plus features Bully’s Alicia Bognanno, Mannequin Pussy, and a NOFX cover.

Everyone needs some East Coast emo edge, and the union between both acts highlights the versatility of Militarie Gun. The indie rockers break down the punk-tinged original to a raw, heartbreaking version that plays with your emotions. Laced with piano, melodic vocals instead of raspy yells, and stitched with light synth elements generates an introspective aura that could be in a top-tier indie flick montage. Manchester Orchestra truly understands how to add another layer of depth to already impactful tracks.

Indie-rock renaissance is here, and fans can catch Militarie Gun on their upcoming tour with Pool Kids, Death Lens, and others in the U.S. and EU. For tickets, head to their site.
