Today, Bright Eyes announced their forthcoming new LP, sharing its first single, “Bells And Whistles,” a song about the things we tend to take for granted that ultimately shape our lives. From the jump, the track is brought to life with the breath of a vibrant whistle that’s sure to be stuck in your head for the next 5-7 business days. It continues with a happy-go-lucky tune that juxtaposes the vocal fry and lyrical cynicism laid over it quite perfectly. The Five Dice, All Threes LP will feature 13 songs, with Cat Power, Alex Orange Drink, and Matt Berninger of The National featured on select tracks.

The accompanying music video shows the band performing on stage as their audience enters the venue via a photo booth. The narrative continues to set up a show that is not unlike any other, with shots of the band performing the song. Intertwined are shots of the audience posing in the photo booth and rocking out in the crowd. It’s a simple yet brilliant piece, directed by Josh Boone, that captures the sentiment of the track in a wholesome and non-invasive way. Check out the video below.
