The Grammy nominations for the 2024 Awards Show dropped on November 10, and it’s clear that boygenius are beloved in both the alternative world and overall pop culture zeitgeist.
Taking place on February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the Grammy Awards will stream at 8 PM ET CBS and Paramount +. Fans of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus can see their faves hopefully win for Album of The Year and Best Alternative Music Album with the record, Best Rock Performance, Record Of The Year, and Best Rock Song with “Not Strong Enough,” Best Alternative Music Performance with “Cool About It.” Plus, the record itself is nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
It’s a big week for the band as the trio will be appearing on Saturday Night Live with host Timothée Chalamet and also just appeared on the cover of British GQ for their 2023 Men Of The Year Issue. Nothing but respect for our favorite boys.
It’s an exciting time for alt fans with the announcement of metal and rock categories, too. Paramore is now nominated for Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Music Performance. Excitingly, Spiritbox is nominated for Best Metal Performance with “Jaded.” Plus, the Turnstile Grammys hype isn’t over because the “Mystery” artists have been nominated for Best Remixed Recording with the BADBADNOTGOOD “Alien Love Call” remix.
