On February 10, Paramore announced that they have been named as Ambassadors for Record Store Day 2024.
“The discovery of music was always meant to be romantic. Indie record shops are some of the only spaces we’ve at that offer tangible, tactile experience of music discovery,” the band said in an Instagram post. “In this world that feels more disconnected and hostile than ever, it feels important to remain in touch (literally) with what inspires us, empowers us. or simply brings us joy. Thankfully, for all our sakes, there still survives among the chaos, the purity and radical simplicity of a great record store.”

Paramore is helping music fans across the U.S. celebrate Record Store 2024 on April 20. Dating back to the official first celebration in 2008, Record Store Day is the best way to support local small businesses and your favorite artists at the same time. Fans are definitely looking forward to how Paramore will be celebrating vinyl and promoting record stores across the country.
Prior to this Record Store Day announcement, the newly independent band shared their first music release outside of their previous record deal with Atlantic. The trio shared a cover of “Burning Down The House” from A24 Music‘s Talking Heads tribute album, Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense. The upcoming tribute album boasts contributions from the likes of Blondshell, girl in red, The Linda Lindas, Miley Cyrus, The National, and more.
Paramore is gearing up for some extraordinary international tour dates. In the spring of 2024, they are joining Taylor Swift on her upcoming leg of The Eras Tour. If you’re in the UK or Europe, you might be able to see them in the spring. Check out the dates below and grab tickets here.
