The Dangerous Summer has delivered a mesmerizing new version of their 2021 single “The Best Part of Letting Go (Reimagined).” This new rendition is a refreshing take on the original, bringing a new life into the lyrics through amplified instrumentation and electro-pop elements. AJ Perdomo‘s vocal delivery is raw and unfiltered, conveying the pain and longing in the lyrics with incredible depth. The vocal harmonies are also beautifully executed, adding an extra layer of emotion to the track. Pulling inspiration from a wide variety of artists including My Chemical Romance, 100 gecs, Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, and even Lil Peep, LA-based Eli Hurts has released his highly-anticipated debut solo album, Ouch. Arriving today via Rude Records, Ouch has been brewing in Hurts since childhood. After releasing his debut EP, Future Accountants of America, Unite in 2020, Hurts set the tone of his forward-motion career through an array of alternative, emo, pop, punk, and a dash or two of synth. The culmination of these musical influences results in a motley of songs that are meant to be played at full
What better way to kick off a weekend than with new music? Featuring new tracks from Panic! At the Disco, Mod Sun, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, and more. The full lineup for this year’s Lollapalooza festival has been announced. With a sound that calls to mind the likes of The Black Keys, The White Stripes, and Kasabian, Orthodox is one of those records that is meant to be heard live in the middle of a rowdy crowd on a hot Saturday night in some too-cramped club. This week, we’ll dive into The Long Ranger movie and the meaning of the word “kemosabe”, then jump into tracks from The Wombats, Chvrches, and Everything Everything. The Static Jacks’ debut album If You’re Young is a record you might want to add to your music catalogue before the summer rolls in. Rae Harvey is one the top music managers in the Australian Music Industry. She managed HUGE Australian band, the Living End and 360, and also brought out acts to Australia such as Blink 182. She’s literally done everything and is an absolute legend. After working in the music industry for over 25 years, Rae hit an animal driving and had a massive self realization… she needed to work with animals. From that moment on, she pursued her dream to one day own a kangaroo sanctuary and eventually set one up in New South Wales. The devastating Australian fires earlier this year saw her entire Kangaroo Sanctuary and home burn down. Over a billion animals were killed in the fires. Kangaroos, Wombats, Koalas and thousands of other species. Absolutely devastating. Rae almost lost her own life in the fires, narrowly escaping by boat thanks to being rescued by a neighbor. She has since returned to the property to rebuild and look after the kangaroos, many of which returned injured after the fires. We tell her story. DO NOT MISS THIS INTERVIEW! Follow us!Editorial
