EDM DJ Illenium isn’t a stranger to the alternative scene. During his Los Angeles, CA, shows on February 2 and 3 at SoFi Stadium, he brought out several special guests. The tour is to support his self-titled independent release, which arrived last spring. Illenium’s exploration into the alt scene isn’t unheard of. From First To Lasts’ Sonny Moore ventured into dubstep in the early 2000s, which kicked off the blurring of genres and the possibility of experimenting with different sounds. Lately there has been a lot of light being shed upon the issue of mental health, and people in the music industry. Especially on the subject of depression and anxiety. Being someone who is affected by both, I wanted an opportunity to talk about my personal experiences, and the extreme ups and downs that come with traveling, and playing music, and thanks to idobi Radio, I have a place to put my thoughts for at least the next two weeks.
