As long as “Alien’s Exist,” Tom DeLonge of blink-182 will have a guitar in his hand. The iconic guitarist is putting his signature Starcaster® in the hands of fans, thanks to Fender. The blink-182 guitarist has announced today that he is partnering with Fender to release an exclusive limited run of Stratocaster guitar along with some super cool accessories. Fender Musical Denies It Is for Sale


Fender Musical Instruments, which has made guitars for generations of rock legends, denied media reports on Wednesday that it had hired financial advisors to find a buyer for the company. The Financial Times, citing people familiar with the situation, said on Wednesday that Goldman Sachs has been hired to sell the legendary guitar company, which could draw bids of up to $500 million. Scott Stapp's Fender Bender Aggravated Existing Back Problem


When Creed canceled all 20 dates on the second leg of their U.S. tour on Monday because frontman Scott Stapp was in an April 19 traffic accident in Orlando that police called “minor,” speculation surfaced about how a 20-mile-per-hour rear-end collision could cause tour-canceling injuries – especially when the accident report mentioned there were “no injuries noted.” On Wednesday, guitarist Mark Tremonti answered that question when he told KROQ radio in Los Angeles that Stapp had a previously existing back-and-spine condition that was exacerbated by the collision. Freddy Fender to Get New Kidney


Freddy Fender, nominated for a Grammy for Latin pop album of the year, will undergo surgery on Jan. 24 in Texas to receive a kidney donated by his 21-year-old daughter. The transplant surgery is scheduled at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Fender is to receive the organ from daughter Marla Garcia of Jacksonville, Fla., the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences announced Saturday.
