After a hectic summer, The Great Valley released its free acoustic EP, Stripped, through AOL Radio Aug. 10. Recently idobi had the chance to ask this literal band of brothers some questions about its new EP, summer activities and future plans.
The 13-track set contains collaborations with an eclectic roster of guest vocalists, including Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell, Kid Rock, Ian Astbury and Iggy Pop.

Superfans often compare listening to their favorite band to a religious experience. A church in Florida is taking that sentiment to the next level by introducing its congregation to a Sunday service that features the music and lyrics of Bono and Co., reports Twenty Four Bit. Coldplay has fired back against accusations they copied another artist’s work for their hit “Viva La Vida.” In a statement released on Tuesday, the band responded to a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by guitarist Joe Satriani last week in federal court in Los Angeles That lawsuit says the Grammy-nominated song contains “substantial, original portions” of his 2004 song, ” If I Could Fly” “With the greatest possible respect to Joe Satriani we have now unfortunately found it necessary to respond publicly to his allegations,” read the statement. “If there are any similarities between our two pieces of music, they are… Read more »
The bands on this tour could have held an open casting call, but they wouldn’t have found a better set of screeching, adoring fans than the sold-out, 98-percent female ’tweens at tonight’s show.Sure, the performers are making a silly poke at the 2001 Ben Stiller-starring comedy Zoolander with their tour title, and they even incorporated Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax” before playing, but from the crowd’s reaction, this tour might as well have been a serious male model showcase. In the last month, two very different West Coast live music venues have met two very different fates. In Los Angeles, the resolutely DIY noise and punk outpost the Smell celebrated its 10th anniversary with a series of shows featuring scene stalwarts like No Age and Abe Vigoda. Even as Viacom sues YouTube for what it describes as “brazen” copyright infringement, some of Viacom’s own dirty copyright laundry is being aired. Ars searched one Viacom property–iFilm, which was acquired by Viacom in 2005–and found several instances of infringing video hosted by iFilm–content for which Viacom does not own the copyright. In its complaint against YouTube, Viacom bemoans the fact that it is required to file DMCA takedown notices for each copyrighted clip it spots on YouTube. With over 150,000 infringing clips of Viacom properties identified so far, the company believes that YouTube should be working harder to proactively… Read more »
When Jonathan Davis refers to having the terrible twos behind him, it’s not a parenting reference. (His son, Pirate, will actually turn 2 in March.) “We always say that, musically, our 20s are the terrible twos,” the Korn singer explained. “When you are 20 you do the stupidest stuff to your body, you’re close-minded, you’re like a 2-year-old – just grown up and can drink.
