The Mike Herrera Hour, June 14, 2013
I met up with Matt, from Alkaline Trio while his band was on tour. We got into this conversation on their tour bus outside The Showbox Market in Seattle, Washington.

This weekend was heavy. So much fun was had but along with that.. a heavy realization that life has changed yet again. Joining me on my first night here at idobi Radio are my buddies, Poncho & Lefty. Ex-US Navy Seals turned contract Mercenaries with pure hearts of gold! These guys are the rockstars of the military world and I was and still am in awe after hearing so many of their seemingly endless experiences. This episode is like no other and just so happens to be the first of many here on idobi.
The Mike Herrera Hour- every Friday 8pm EST/ 5pm PST: https://idobi.com/
I was stoked to speak with Mike Herrera, lead singer of one of my favorite bands MxPx about his brand new show, “The Mike Herrera Hour,” on idobi Radio! We talked about what the show will entail and all the subjects that it’s going to have. Plus, we talked about MxPx because hey, why not!
idobi Radio is excited to announce our new show The Mike Herrera Hour. Hosted by MXPX frontman Mike Herrera, the show will air every Friday at 8pm ET starting June 7th.
This episode I have drummer Ben Hilzinger from the band Eve 6 and he also plays drums for the band Cannons. I met him before he was in either of these bands, we kept in touch and I met him through Mike Herrera of Mxpx. Ben and I have kept in touch over the years and I learn his story of how he came to LA from Washington to make a career as a drummer.
To celebrate the release of “Say Yes”, we asked Mike Herrera and Kalie Wolfe to sit down for a special video called “3 Ways to Say Yes”!
Got to catch up with Doug from Dreams Of Vertigo about their new single “Blakey’s Goldfinger”. The song is primarily about their old guitarist Devin and how much he influenced the band. Also the band spoke about working on a song with Mike Herrera of MXPX! Be sure to keep with them on Facebook.
When he’s not hosting Gone Fishkin on Thursday nights at 9PM, Fish transforms into a rockstar bassist. Last weekend, he hit the stage with fellow idobi host Mike Herrera’s punk rock band, MxPx. You can check out the performance above!
It’s Takeover Tuesday, and this week you can tune in to hear from Nick Santino and our very own Mike Herrera.
Stick around after Mike Herrera tonight (8/30), because Eddie Jason & Chris are live with another all new episode at 9p ET.
