Long before we conceptualized idobi Howl, idobi Radio was known for breaking new talent before anyone else, giving young artists a chance when the mainstream wouldn’t give them a fair look. When we created idobi Howl, we decided to share that philosophy and give talented young hardcore/metal artists a bigger platform.
Not many hardcore bands, let alone any band, can say they’ve been around for nearly 20 years with no hiatus, but Bane can. This year the band will be releasing their final album Don’t Wait Up, on Equal Vision Records and plan to make 2015 their last year as a band. idobi writer Alexa Gallo sat down with singer Aaron Bedard at Today’s Mixtape Festival to talk the band’s legacy, upcoming album, and the changes that have occurred in the hardcore community over the years.
The 8th annual United Blood Fest will take place March 28-29th at the Canal Club In Richmond, VA. This year’s festival will feature Hatebreed, 100 Demons, Bane, Suburban Scum, Turnstile and more. You snap to attention. Accredit it to over two decades of proud loyalty to the scene he and Agnostic Front helped create.
