Linkin Park to record 'Transformers 2' theme


Linkin Park will record a new song and contribute to the score of this summer’s guaranteed blockbuster Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, Mike Shinoda announced on his Web site. “In addition, we have been offered the unique opportunity to help score the film,” Shinoda wrote. “The song we wrote is being used as one of the themes, and we will be writing various interpolations on that theme, and trying out some other thematic ideas.” In a studio update posted on March 28, Shinoda hinted that the song “is built on layered, heavy synths” and “it creates a nice interplay… Read more »

Green Day LP set for May 15 release


Green Day’s “21st Century Breakdown”– the band’s eighth studio record and first since 2004’s Grammy-winning “American Idiot” – has a firm release date: May 15. Coolio arrested for crack possession


LOS ANGELES —  Grammy-winning rapper Coolio was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of possessing drugs, police said. The 45-year-old rapper, whose real name is Artis Levon Ivey Jr, was taken into custody at an LAX terminal at mid-morning after he was found with the narcotics, a Los Angeles police spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman said she had no further details on the arrest but celebrity website TMZ reported that he was found with crack cocaine while going through security before boarding a Southwest Airlines flight. Chris Brown says he's 'sorry and saddened'


Chris Brown who was arrested a week ago in connection with a domestic violence investigation, said Sunday he is “sorry and saddened” by what happened and is seeking counseling from his pastor and loved ones.
