With more than 2 years passing since The Veronicas‘ double-album release in May and June 2021, consisting of GODZILLA and HUMAN, the Aussie twin-sister duo has made their triumphant return with their brand-new single, “Perfect.” Featuring drumming expertise from the man, the myth, the legend—blink-182’s Travis Barker—the new single seamlessly navigates across a fusion of anthemic rock and playful pop, creating a comeback track that’s nothing short of…well, perfect. Crafted in collaboration with John Feldmann (blink-182, Avril Lavigne, YUNGBLUD) and expertly co-produced by Ryan Linville (Olivia Rodrigo), “Perfect” taps into the quintessential sound we all fell in love with when… Read more »
New Years Day is getting into the Halloween spirit with their merciless new single, “Vampyre.” The heavy and spookily-themed song is a hard-hitting follow-up to the band’s 2022 single, “Hurts Like Hell.” Juxtaposing drop-tuned guitar breakdowns with frontwoman Ash Costello’s soaring vocal delivery, the track tells an empowering story about escaping a relationship with a narcissist. It’s a reminder that no matter how scary it can be, nobody can take away a woman’s power and strength to move forward beyond the pain and trauma. Better yet, there are plenty of alternative bands and artists that find their inspiration in the spooky season. This doesn’t mean that they are carving pumpkins or telling ghost stories. Many bands in our scene incorporate paranormal or horror imagery and themes into their releases. This can take the form of voodoo dolls (The… Read more »

Our favorite indie/pop songwriter is back at it again. Nashville-based Knox has just dropped his new single, “Man Down,” along with a punchy (pun intended) lyric video. Known for writing witty lyrics and memorable melodies, Knox shows a side of himself which we can all relate to. That is, feeling unlucky in love and withstanding the pain of a toxic relationship. As the subject of a one-sided fight, Knox withstands every punch, singing “She’s a drop-dead stone-cold killer / But damn, I’m dying to be with her.” The lyric video that accompanies the track reflects the themes of the song… Read more »

Following the release of KennyHoopla’s 3-track capsule project with frequent collaborator and friend, Travis Barker, the emerging artist has issued the official music video for the project’s standout single, “MARRY KILL F*CK//.” “MARRY KILL F*CK//” captures the very essence of KennyHoopla‘s unbridled energy and contagious punk-rock spirit. With clever references and innuendos scattered throughout, the song playfully nods to Barker’s bandmate Tom DeLonge with the line, “And everyone is recommending me their therapist/They believe in God/But don’t believe in aliens.” This song truly exemplifies KennyHoopla‘s uninhibited and electrifying musical style, making it a must-listen for fans of the genre.
