KennyHoopla Offers Laid-back Indie Sound On “keep a window open//”

Pop-punk rising star KennyHoopla is back with an eclectic new single “keep a window open//.” This track is preceded by the July release of his three-song EP BLINK AND YOU’LL MISS IT// featuring none other than frequent collaborator blink-182’s Travis Barker. The two even shared their official music video for the stand-out track “MARRY KILL F*CK//.”

Departing from the raw punk rock sounds of the EP, this new single sees more indie elements at play with mellow, ethereal vocals.

“‘keep a window open//’ is a song that is an ode to my roots and day one inspirations,” KennyHoopla says of the track. “I worked on this record after playing my largest shows ever with blink-182 and thought of this to be my goodbye to summer.”

The shimmering new track is reminiscent of Wallows, Kid Bloom, and other indie darlings who simply ooze nostalgia. All in all, Cleveland-raised KennyHoopla proves time and time again that he cannot be confined to one genre, as he crushes every type of sound he ventures into. Listen to the new track below.

This era of KennyHoopla arrives with both new music and tour dates. The fall Raised By Wolves tour kicks off in late September and runs through early November with support from Groupthink. Check out the full dates below, and head here to grab your tickets. You may also have the chance to catch the artist at a few festivals before the end of summer, too.
