Hasidic reggae rapper Matisyahu and rock act Chiodos will join the 2008 Vans Warped Tour lineup for limited dates this July, Billboard.com has learned. Matisyahu, who joins the Vans Warped Tour for the first time, will appear in the traveling rock festival July 9-11 and on July 13 at St. John’s Country Fairgrounds in Jacksonville, Florida. Vans Warped Tour veteran Chiodos joins the trek on July 18 at Comerica Park in Detroit. It’s officially ok for me to start dating Hilary Duff. In case you haven’t heard, she’s a college girl now, cramming in a few online classes in her free time through the Harvard Extension School. On Sunday (August 10) Simple Plan was among the bands that wrapped up this year’s Van’s Warped Tour with a performance in Asbury Park, New Jersey. On Tuesday (August 12), the band will be in New York City to introduce the world premiere of their video “Perfect” on MTV’s Total Request Live.
